Serious Stewardship

At Compassion we take stewardship seriously. That's why more than 80 percent of all our expenditures go to program activities for our children. It's also why we insist on:

• Annual audits to show exactly how our income is used
• Regular audits for our country offices
• Program audits to evaluate the effectiveness of our child development programs in the lives of children

Financial Accountability

Charitable donations to Compassion are tax-deductible in the United States. Compassion has been recognized for superior financial integrity by numerous publications and financial accountability groups, including:

• Charity Navigator has listed holistic child development and sponsorship charity Compassion International as having the most consecutive four-star ratings of any organization of its kind in the nation.
• The American Institute of Philanthropy's "Top Rated Charities"
• Ministry Watch's 30 of the Brightest Shining Light Ministries

In addition, we're a member of several accrediting agencies, including:
